RSPB PULBOROUGH BROOKS
The entrance to RSPB Pulborough Brooks is situated on the A283 about two miles east of Pulborough and just before Parham House. It was officially opened as a reserve in 1989, prior to which it was a farm. The Brooks are situated within the flood plain of the River Arun so regularly flood in winter which draw thousands of wildfowl and other birds to feed. In Spring and Autumn many migratory species of bird can be seen on the pools and in Summer the reserve is a haven for flowers, butterflies, moths and dragon flies. There is a large car park, Visitor Centre, toilets, café and gift shop. Dogs welcome on Heathland Trail but not on Wetland Trail. Open all year.
